Kaiserlift

Brentenjochalm

After a relaxed ride up with the Kaiserlift it's only a short trip to Brentenjoch. Cosy little parlours, lush flowers around the building and satisfied guests sitting in the sun in front of the hut enjoying homemade nut cakes or apple strudel. Alpine snacks and traditional delicacies surrounded by the beautiful natural backdrop of the Kaiser Mountains. Brentenjoch is particularly well known for its homemade "Kiachl" (fried pastry), served either with sauerkraut or, if you prefer sweet, with fresh farmer's jam. There's something to be seen in the neighbouring stalls too - the young cattle and heifers lounge around their clean stall during the day and are let out into the meadow in the evenings. The milk cows graze on the hillside of Steinbergalm, about half an hour's walk away.
