From the starting point, the Lederstube hikers' car park in Frasdorf, you not only reach the Hochries, but also three huts that are not stingy with tasty refreshments. In addition to the DAV's Hochrieshütte, you can also stop at the Riesenhütte and the Frasdorfer Hütte.
A ski tour is a great experience! However, when touring into unsecured, open terrain, you should entrust yourself to an experienced mountain guide. Detailed tour planning is essential. You can find detailed tour itineraries in the commercially available Alpine Club maps "8 Kaisergebirge", "BY16 Mangfallgebirge Ost" and "BY17 Chiemgauer Alpen West".
